Zeliatu's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase her goods in bulk to increase her profit margin.

Zeliatu's story

Zeliatu is a 26-year-old who lives with her nuclear family in the Bawku West district of Ghana. She sells groceries and detergents. With her previous Kiva loans, she was able to launch both businesses. She used the profit to support her family’s basic needs.

She is requesting another loan in order to purchase her goods in bulk to increase her profit margin. She plans to use the profit she earns to continue to support her family's daily needs.

Zeliatu will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and half hours each week as a Camfed Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in local schools. She will cover topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path, and active citizenship. Zeliatu’s dream is to become a great entrepreneur.
