Gloria Margarita is married and has 5 children. Her husband works as an informal trader. She lives with her husband and two children in the canton of Montecristi in the province of Manabí. Here, the people are hospitable, the residents are globally recognized artisans for the straw hats they make. The city has also suffered the ravages of the harsh pandemic caused by COVID-19.

Gloria Margarita is a strong woman who started her business awhile ago by opening a store in her home where she sells ice, milk, boluses, cola, rice, lentils, etc. Before the pandemic, her clients would come because of the good service she provides, but due to fear of infection, she had to close and stop selling, which meant she could not generate income for her family. Now, however, Gloria Margarita, wants to reopen her business, seeing that the situation is normalizing little by little.
