Narcisa Isabel's story

Narcisa is 27 years old and in a common-law marriage. She has two children, ages seven and two. Her life partner works as a bricklayer. They live in the Montecristi canton in the Manabí province. The people in this place are hospitable. It inhabitants are artisans who are very well-known on a worldwide level for making straw hats. The city has also suffered the ravages of the difficult pandemic caused by Covid-19.

Narcisa Isabel is a woman who has liked helping her husband with the household expenses. That is why, ten years ago, she started her business. She has a store where she sells ice cream, ice, mangoes, and other items. She also sells clothes and beauty products by Esika catalog.

During the confinement she had to close her place for fear of contagion. For this reason her sales and earnings were affected. However, now with a loan granted from the foundation she wants to reactivate her business.
