Maria Evangelista's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy soap, detergents, sugar, corn, and other products to thus improve the store inventory and be able to supply the needs of her customers.

Maria Evangelista's story

Maria states that she has decided to apply for another loan, because the previous financing at the time was useful to her to strengthen her business. She will invest the working capital in the purchase of soap, detergents, sugar, corn, and other products. Thus she will be able to improve the inventory of the store in order to be able to supply the needs of her customers.

She says that after she made the previous investment, her business grew, and consequently the number of customers as well as the sales increased.

Maria is now being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, since it is not easy for her to keep working in the sale of handicrafts. This is because her business is not considered for operating freely, according to the measures taken by the Salvadoran government to confront the pandemic. This difficulty was the reason for opening a store in which she sells products of primary necessity. She continues with the business of making hammocks, but her production volume has gone down.

As for her family group, she comments that it has not suffered any change.
