A loan helped to buy more grains such as maize to sell in her community in order to increase her family's income.

Florencia's story

Florencia is a 55-year-old Mozambican woman. She lives in Manica Province with her two children.

Florencia is a very hardworking woman. Alone, she does her best to take care of her children and to send them to school.

She started in agriculture when she was very young. She produces a variety of crops such veggies and grains, but her main focus is maize commercialization.

Florencia identified a good local market in her community where she gained a number of clients. This allowed her to improve the well-being of her household.

Since the demand for grains is continuously increasing, Florencia needs to acquire more grains to sell to her clients. She is requesting a Kiva loan to buy more grains such as maize to sell in her community in order to increase her family' income.
