Maria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy rice, canned foods, noodles, biscuits, sugar and washing pastes for her general store business.

Maria's story

Maria is 60 years old and she is married with seven children and they live in a rural community outside Honiara, capital of Solomon Islands.

She runs a small business selling rice, noodles, biscuits, canned foods and washing pastes in her community to earn a living. She has been in this business for seven years.

Maria has requested a loan to pay for additional rice, canned foods, noodles, biscuits, sugar and washing pastes to increase her stocks and assist her in running her business.

She plans to use her profits to continue meet her family's weekly expenses and improve her business.

She joined SPBD in 2015 to gain access to financial services.
