Glenda Trinidad's story

Glenda Trinidad is 44 years old. She is in a common law marriage, and from this relationship, she has three children. Two are adults and independent, and one is 8 years old and attends school. Her husband works in a fish factory. They live in Manta, a beautiful city located on the shores of the Pacific, in the south of the Manabí province. It is known for its beautiful beaches; it has been very affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

She is a very hardworking woman who, for the past 4 years, has worked selling costume jewelry (earrings, chains, rings, bracelets, etc.). She has a shop in one of the commercial areas of the city. She works at her business Monday through Saturday over 6 hours a day. Due to the quarantine, she closed her shop for the first three months, but one month ago, she again reactivated her business, although her sales are not the same as they were before.

She will invest the loan in the purchase of more costume jewelry to expand her business. Her hope is to have a shop with underwear for women, men, and children.
