A loan helped to buy animals for resale to pay for his children's education.

Benkadi Group's story

Alou is 38 years old and raises cattle and sheep. He is married and the father of five children aged between 2 and 13, three of whom go to school. Alou didn't have the opportunity to go to school, but he cares about his children's schooling. His wife is a housekeeper.

Alou purchases and sells his animals at the weekly markets in his area. After his quarterly sales, he can earn 60,000 CFA as profit, which can vary based on the sales turnover. He has been running this business for 10 years. His income allows him to cover his children's medical expenses, clothing, and schooling. He loves this work because it is beneficial for him. However, he often has to take risks inherent to the business such as animals dying despite veterinary care, or drops in animal prices at the market.

Alou is counting on the RMCR loan to improve his business and change his family's quality of life.
