A loan helped to purchase dairy cows to expand her herd and increase sales of organic milk.

Nuriyla's story

Nuriyla, age 47, is married and has five children. She has a higher education and is hardworking, goal-oriented and enterprising by nature. She is well versed in the technical aspects of running an agricultural business and is capable of investing resources for their intended purpose. As her primary source of income she works as the director of a school and also teaches at the school; she has also been raising livestock for her family since 2000. Thanks to her hard work and responsible work approach, she has been able to develop her farm to include a cow, 21 sheep, and a horse. She has 2.5 hectares of irrigated land, where she grows beans and apples.

In order to further develop her farm, Nuriyla applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows with the goal of increasing sales of organic milk and increasing her income from raising livestock. She plans to invest profits from the loan in the further development of her farm.
