Isabel Olaya's story

Isabel Olaya is 61 years old, is married and from this relationship has nine children who are all adults. They live in Manta, a beautiful and hospitable city visited by many tourists that enjoy its marvelous scenery. This city has been greatly impacted by the health crisis caused by Covid-19.

She is a woman who despite her age likes to work in order to obtain her own income and support her family. Some time ago she set up in her house a weekend business where she sells fried foods, corviche (a typical Ecuadorian dish), empanadas, juices, and other items. She also has a salted banana chip shop.

Due to the pandemic her sales have decreased and her financial resources have diminished. With this loan she hopes to recover her business and continue working. This loan will be invested in the purchase of oil, bananas, and other ingredients for her foods. Her dream is to have good health in order to continue working.
