Yolanda Yasmin's story

Yolanda Yasmin is 47 years old and is in a common-law relationship. She has three children, the youngest is ten years old. Her partner does not work having been disabled in an accident. They live in Jipijapa canton known as the Sultan Of Coffee. The people are gentle and hard-working. They have also suffered the havoc of the pandemic caused by COVID-19.

Yolanda Yasmin is a strong woman. In spite of the situation she has had to get ahead. In her house she as installed a display case where she can exhibit catalogue products from Avon and Yanbal, girl's underwear, etc. She is also a seamstress and makes women's clothing and nurses uniforms. Due to the quarantine her sales went down and she decided to make hand-sewn masks in order to support her family.

Yolanda Yasmin will invest the loan from the Fundación buying thread, needles and fabric so she can continue sewing masks. Yolanda Yasmin's dream is to have her own business and have industrial machines.
