Karen Nathaly's story

Karen is 30 years old and in a common-law marriage. From this relationship she has three children, ages 14, 8, and 2 years old. The first two are in primary and secondary school, respectively, and her huspand is unemployed. They live in Portoviejo, a beautiful and hospitable city with kind, hardworking people who fight every day in order to get ahead. This city has been very heavily impacted but the health emergency caused by Covid-19.

Karen is a very hardworking woman who likes to earn her own income in order to support her partner and thus give stability and a good education to her children. For this reason she works as an assistant in a pharmacy as a contract wage laborer. For 10 years she has also made a living selling cosmetics by catalogue like perfumes, costume jewelry, makeup, and other items. Because of the pandemic, her sales have gone down a lot and she had economic difficulties.

With this new loan she hopes to reactivate her business and she will also start a new business selling seafood.

This loan is to invest in the purchase of seafood and cosmetics for her business. Her dream is for her business to improve.
