A loan helped to purchase thermal containers and rice to make the lunches.

Veronica Mariana's story

Verónica Mariana is 40 years old, in a common-law marriage, has 5 children, only two of them are minors, and her spouse works as an official. They live in the canton of Jipijapa known as the Coffee Sultana, where the people are very friendly and hard-working, but which has also suffered the ravages of the difficult pandemic caused by COVID-19.

Verónica Mariana is a very sociable woman who, thanks to her charisma, has been able to earn customers. For some years, she has had a small retail space in her house where she sells and delivers lunches to homes, always having a variety of dishes and the traditional creole chicken stew.

For Verónica, the first months were difficult because her sales reduced due to the pandemic, but now she is selling a little more, delivering to homes and to people who work in stores and institutions.

The money from the foundation's loan will serve Verónica Mariana to purchase thermal containers and rice to make the lunches. Her dream is to get ahead with her business.
