Gissell Mariela's story

Gissell is a 36-year-old merchant who is responsible, honest, hardworking, and charismatic. This woman started her business by selling food and coffee from a small space at her house. With her savings and effort, she decided to build a small grocery store. From the beginning until now, she has had the unconditional support of her children.

With the Kiva loan she received previously from MiCrédito, she was able to buy rice, beans, sugar, meat, and fruit for her food business. At this moment, she wants to strengthen her grocery store, so she has returned to request another loan from Kiva and MiCrédito. She will use the money to buy rice, cheese, homemade soups, oil, sugar, snack foods, and toiletries.

In the near future, Gissell hopes to continue receiving loans from Kiva and MiCrédito so that she can make each of her goals a reality.
