A loan helped my small-scale winery purchase grapes & equipment to make high quality wines at an affordable price.
After working in the wine industry for over a decade, I was able to start my own small-scale winery in 2018. I have been combining first-hand experience & academic research to deepen my understanding of how to make quality wine. After working 14 harvests in three countries and taking wine classes through Chemeketa Community College, I've had numerous opportunities to gain valuable insights into the winemaking process. My experience includes working my way up from being a temp worker on bottling lines to learning the basics as a cellar hand to managing a cellar with 650+ barrels as the assistant winemaker/cellar master. Outside of work, I continue to study wine chemistry and viticulture topics in order to stay on top of current trends.
