Afya Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fruit: avocados, bananas, lemons, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Afya Group's story

Madame Esta is a client of the Hekima IMF and president of the "Afya" village group. She is married, 55 years old and the mother of 7 children, all of whom are in school. Her partner does not work.

She sells fruits and vegetables, and started this business 11 years ago with the support of startup funds from the Hekima program. She then grew it progressively. With this new loan, she will buy supplies of fruit: avocados, bananas, lemons, which will strengthendamage her initial capital. The challenge of her business is the fruit becoming spoiled.

She would like for her children to continue their studies and to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to business owners who are not bankable due to the global Covid-19 crisis. The photo only shows the group leader because of Covid-19.
