Butseme Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on wholesale salted fish, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Butseme Group's story

Madame Onifa is a customer of the Hekima IMF and president of the "Butseme" village group. She is married, 44 years old and the mother of 8 children who are all in school. Her partner is a tailor.

She sells salted fish, and started this business 10 years ago with startup funds from her husband. Later on she requested support for her business from Hekima, and grew it progressively. With this new loan, she will buy wholesale salted fish, which will reinforce her initial capital. The challenge of this business is related to the lack of customers due to Covid-19.

Madame Onifa would like to feed her family and build a house. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to business owners who are not bankable due to the global Covid-19 crisis. The photo only features the group leader because of Covid-19.
