Annah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy poultry to increase her poultry farming, and eventually use the profits to assure her children of uninterrupted learning in school by paying tuition fees.

Annah's story

Annah, 38, has become admirable for her success. Despite the growing pains she has been through, she still sacrifices much for her husband and children and has never looked back. She is a progressive woman who likes trying new things in life. Her main sources of income include milk and some crop varieties that she sells on her local farm in certain seasons. Not many women find it easy to live in Matuu, but as an ambitious woman, she has made great progress.

The Matuu area is very populated and the demand for poultry products is very high. Annah finds poultry farming very enjoyable since she has a great passion for birds. She lacks funds to increase her poultry farming, so she is seeking a loan of 30,000 KES to buy poultry. Being a woman seeking to access funds in Kenya, especially the Matuu area, is very challenging.

Through institutions such as Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, she feels relieved knowing that her dream will be achieved, and that she will be able to buy more poultry. The extra income she will get will be used to fully repay the loan and pay tuition fees for her children. Annah is so thankful to have a chance like this. She hopes you will respond to her humble request.
