Filomena's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more materials like different colours of yarn and/or warp threads in order to make more woven cloth.

Filomena's story

Filomena is modest, hardworking, 49 years old, and married. Filomena has amazing skill and experiences with East Timor traditional woven cloth called tais, and she makes a living from it. Her weaving shop, which she has been running for many years now, is so well-located where it is easy to find, and many people come to buy her weaving every day. Running the business has made Filomena become independent because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family's everyday needs.

She would like a loan of $1,500 through KIF to help improve her weaving shop. She plans to use this loan to buy additional materials like different colours of yarn and/or warp threads. Filomena hopes to expand the size of her business in the future, and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity. This is her second loan; her first loan is already repaid.
