Sauce Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Sauce Group's story

Mafito is a 46-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house with 4 other family members including 3 children. Mafito relies on family support and struggles with buying multiple fuels and insufficient income.

She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on gas, paraffin and electricity, which costs up to LSL 580 per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging. Mafito and the other member of the group in this village each bought the ACE-1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE-1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE-1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
