A loan helped to purchase an industrial stove, corn, lime, and salt.

Tomasa Del Carmen's story

Tomasa gets up at five in the morning to make tortillas that she offers at breakfast to her neighbors. In addition to this business, she also sells different types of foods. She decided to create her own source of income out of the need to support her mother with the household expenses. This 28-year-old merchant is responsible, honest, and above all, passionate about her work.

Tomasa already had a previous experience with loans from MiCredito and Kiva. Through this support, she purchased basic grains, oil, meat, and packaging. She now needs to increase her production. That is why she has once again turned to a loan from the two organizations in order to purchase an industrial stove, corn, lime, and salt. In the near future, she is planning to become self-sufficient.
