Erika Jazmin's story

Erika is 31 years old, married, and from this relationship has three children, ages 12, 5, and 2. They go to secondary and primary school, respectively. Her spouse does not live with them. They live in the parish of Picoaza, in the city of Portoviejo, where the majority of the people are enterprising and very responsible; they work primarily in informal sales. This sector has been greatly affected by the COVID-19 health emergency.

She is a very responsible and hard-working woman who strives day by day to give her children the best. For this reason, for some time she has worked as a street vendor of vegetables and greens such as potatoes, carrots, onions, tomatoes, etc.

She thanks God because she has not gotten sick from COVID, although she has had financial difficulties because she has not been able to go out to work and has not had money to pay her expenses. Some relatives have had to support her with food. She hopes that the situation will improve and, with this new loan, she will purchase products to strengthen her business.

This loan is to purchase sacks of onions, carrots and fruits for her business. Her dream is to get ahead and give her children a good education.
