Benkan Group's story

Salifou is the leader of the group, and because of Covid-16, he represents it on the picture. He is 47 years old, married and the father of 6 children between the ages of 1 and 13, 2 of whom go to school. His wife is a homemaker and carries a small trade of condiments to support her family. He has been raising sheep for the past 10 years and he stocks up at the local markets.

Salifou can make a profit of 25 000 to 30 000 CFA francs per head. The sale of his livestock generates good profits that enable him to meet the needs of his family, the medical expenses and the school fees for his children. He currently owns 3 sheep that he raises and provides veterinary care for. Salifou is generous and has a good reputation in his village. In the future, he intends to apply for more loans to expand his business.
