Benkadi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy rams to sell on successfully and support his family.

Benkadi Group's story

Bourama is representing his group in the photo, pictured here holding the ram. He is a 36-year-old Malian and is married with three children, one of whom goes to school. His wife is a cleaner.

Bourama is borrowing a loan from RMCR to rear rams; he buys and sells the animals at weekly fairs in his area. The livestock business is profitable for him because it enables him to cover his children's health and education fees. Following a sale he can achieve a profit of between 25,000–60,000 francs per semester. However, he often has to deal with the disease and death of his animals, despite veterinary care.

Bouarama's dream is to install a fenced enclosure to improve his business, overcome his poverty and become self-sustaining.
