Citylight Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting, and charging in a way that is safer and cleaner, and saves money.

Citylight Group's story

Matlhakanelo is a 40-year-old woman who lives in a multi bedroom house, without access to electricity, with five other family members, including three children. She works as a cleaner but struggles with buying multiple fuels and insufficient income.

She spends the largest amount of her energy expenses on gas, which costs up to LSL 203 per month. She also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Matlhakanelo and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
