Zawadi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy oil, fish fry, [certain cuts of meat], groundnuts, and seasoning.

Zawadi Group's story

Martine is a client of the micro-finance institution Hekima and the president of the village group "Zawadi." She is a widow, who is 60 years old and a mother of six children, who are all in school.

Martine sells spices, a business she started 13 years ago with start-up funds she recieved from her late husband. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which is developing progressively. With this new loan, she is going to buy oil, fish fry, [certain cuts of meat], groundnuts, and seasoning, which will strengthen her initial capital. One challenge to her business it the instability in the rate of the dollar.

Martine would like to feed her family and see her children continue in school. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and their partners for their support to business owners who lack access to banking services during the context of this global COVID-19 crisis.
