Mkono Mkononi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase 50 pairs of secondhand shoes to sell.

Mkono Mkononi Group's story

Ms. Clemence is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the 'banc villageois' names “MKONO MKONONI”. She is 46, married, and the mother of ten children of whom five are in school. Her partner is a driver.

A vendor of used shoes, she began this enterprise ten years ago with startup funding from her husband. Later on, she took part in the Hekima program for supporting enterprises and has made progress within it.

With this new loan, she is going to stock up with 50 pairs of secondhand shoes. This will serve to bolster her initial capital. The challenges in her business have to do with her customer base and with police hassles.

She would like to purchase a parcel of land and to have her children continue with their schooling. So she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis related to Covid-19. The photo features only the group leader because of Covid-19.
