Kazi Ni Mali Group

Goma, North Kivu province, North-Kivu, Congo (DRC) / Clothing

Kazi Ni Mali Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on women's clothing, which will build on her initial capital.

Kazi Ni Mali Group's story

Bertha is a customer of the Hekima MFI and president of the "Kazi Ni Mali" group. She is married, 60 years old, and mother of six children of whom four are already married and two are in school. Her partner is a repairman.

She is a seller of mixed clothing and started this business 20 years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. Later she involved the Hekima programme for business support, over the course of which she has progressively developed.

With this new loan, she will get supplies of women's clothing, which will build on her initial capital. The challenge in this work is linked to the lack of customers due to COVID-19.

She would like her children to continue to study and to feed her family. Lastly, she thanks Hekima and partners for their support of non-bankable business owners in the context of the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo only shows the leader of the group due to COVID-19.
