Qhaqhamane Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Qhaqhamane Group's story

Mareithabetse is a 23-year-old mother of one child who lives in a one-bedroom house without access to electricity. Mareithabetse relies on family support and struggles to buy fuel with an inadequate income. She spends most of her energy expenses on paraffin and mobile phone charging, which costs up to LSL289 per month. She also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs.

Mareithabetse and the other members of the group in her village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
