Tutashinda Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase 10 pagnes (traditional fabric) and 5 dozen baby blankets, which will reinforce her initial capital.

Tutashinda Group's story

Madam Pelagie is a client of Hekima; she presides over the Tutashinda Group. At 57 years old, she is married and mother to six children, all of which are school-ages. Her husband is currently unemployed.

Madam Pelagie is a vendor who sells a variety of different merchandise. She began her business over 35 years ago with the financial backing of her father. Later on she partnered with Hekima to support her business, which has advanced admirably.

With this new loan, she plans to stock up on merchandise, including 10 pagnes (traditional fabric) and 5 dozen baby blankets. This will help her to reinforce her initial capital. Her business currently faces of major difficulties.

Madam Pelagie hopes to save money in order to renovate her house in the future.

Lastly, Madam Pelagie would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to non-bankable small business owners, particularly in the context of the global crisis of Covid-19.

In order to maintain social distancing practices, only the group leader of the Tutashinda Group is photographed at this time.
