A loan helped to stock her store.

Maria Gissela's story

Maria, 29, is married and has three children, ages 13, 10 and 7. Her husband is privately employed and they live in Canto de Jaramijo, a place whose inhabitants are very hardworking and dedicated to tasks at sea. Unfortunately, is has been very much affected by COVID-19.

Maria is a very enterprising woman who does all she can to earn an income to help out with household expenses. That is why she has a grocery store set up in her home which allows her to sell a wide variety of goods to meet customer needs.

At the beginning of the pandemic Maria was in a difficult situation because she could not sell anything. But now, little by little, things are starting back up and she can continue earning an income.

This loan will be invested in stocking her store. Her goals are to get ahead and stay healthy.
