Rosa Melba's story

Rosa Melba is 55 years old and married. She has three children who are independent adults. They live in Manantial precinct in the Puerto Cayo district, a port visited by many tourists who like to enjoy its marvelous beach and delicious cuisine, and a place that was affected by the health emergency caused by Covid-19.

Rosa Melba is a responsible and very hard-working woman who likes to support her husband. A few years ago, they started a business manufacturing and selling bricks and construction materials such as stone, cinder blocks and sand, selling in other cantons every day using a vehicle of their own where they are well known for their work.

During the pandemic they had to suspend their activities due to restrictions on the circulation of vehicles, but now they are slowly restarting their business.

The purpose of this loan is to purchase materials to produce bricks such as stone and firewood. Rosa Melba’s dream is to purchase a truck in order to increase her business.
