Veronica's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs and pay labor to grow more crops on her horticulture farm and with the profits set a good foundation for her children.

Veronica's story

Veronica, a repeat Kiva borrower, is 53 years old and has three children. She dairy, poultry and crop farms, which is her source of income. She enjoys farming, especially dairy. Her major challenge is getting feed for her livestock. She chose Juhudi Kilimo for this loan because they offer good products that suit low-income earners like her.

She's seeking a 50,000 KES loan, which Veronica will use to pay for farm inputs and to hire labor to grow more crops. It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm. With your help, she'll be able to cover the high cost of inputs for expansion.

A significant portion of the profits will be reinvested in the business to fuel growth as Veronica sets a good foundation for her children. She's hopeful that all Kiva lenders are adhering to the safety measures in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
