Nancy Judith's story

Nancy Judith is a small business owner. She is 49 years old and a resident of the city of Barranquilla, where she lives with her partner and her son. She has a butchery business located in the center of the city. Nancy Judith is displaced from Plato, Magdalena, where she used to live in a rural area with her parents, humbly working the land. She moved more than 23 years ago with her parents to the Atlántico department, where they made a living carrying out humble and honest work. For 15 years she helped her father with the care and sale of beef cows, which they took care of for livestock business owners.

With time and experience, she started venturing into the commissioned sale of meat. She has been able to establish a customer base, expand the business, and establish a small shop in her own home. Her customers are the public in general.

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, her economic situation has deteriorated and her income has gone down drastically for health reasons.

At the moment, she is applying for her first Kiva loan with the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation in order to buy beef and meat in general in order to have inventory, and to pay providers. Support her in this business loan.
