Amkeni Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 9 pieces of pagnes.

Amkeni Group's story

Rachel is a client of the MFI Hekima and the leader of the village group "Amkeni". She is married, 32 years old, and the mother of 2 children, 1 of whom attends school. Her spouse is civil servant.

She sells pagnes (highly colourful and decorative West African cloth). She started her business 4 years ago with startup funds she received from her husband. She later joined Hekima's loan program to support her business and has been progressing steadily since.

She plans to use the new loan to buy 9 pieces of pagnes. The biggest business challenge she faces is a lack of customers.

She would like to buy a plot of land.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they give to non-bankable businesses, especially in these times of global crisis due to Covid-19.

Due to Covid-19 regulations, only the group leader is on the photo.
