Yempoaka's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 50 100-kilo bags of maize, 10 bags of groundnuts, and 10 bags of pearl millet.

Yempoaka's story

Yempoaka is the mother of 5 children, 4 of whom attend school. She is a merchant and has been selling cereals in a shop located in a market on the periphery of the capital for over 12 years. This is her 7th loan cycle with the MFI YIKRI and she repaid her first Kiva-backed loan without difficulty.

She is requesting a new loan to buy 50 100-kilo bags of maize, 10 bags of groundnuts, and 10 bags of pearl millet so that she can strengthen her inventory and resell it to her customers.

She plans to reinvest part of her profits in her business and to save the rest so that she can take care of her children.

She encourages everyone to protect themselves from the Covid-19 virus.
