A loan helped to buy chicken meat to sell.

Benigna Nelly's story

Benigna Nelly, 53, is divorced. She has 5 children, all of them adults living their own life. She lives with one of them in Jipijapa Canton, a place blessed with beautiful landscapes and hard-working people, but that suffered a lot due to the pandemic.
Benigna Nelly is a hard-working and enterprising woman, who has been buying and selling chicken meat for some years. Before the pandemic, she sold the meat at her house, where her customers knew they could come to buy. With all the limitations in place, sales started to wane and she had to rethink her business model: she now takes orders and delivers them at customers' homes taking all the necessary precautions. Things are starting to look up.
With the loan, Benigna Nelly will buy chicken meat to sell. Her dream is to have a stall of her own at the canton's market.
