Bakary's story

Bakary is the father of 3 children of whom 2 are going to school. He is a shopkeeper and opened a store to sell various articles, to which he added the sale of airtime credits, in an outlying area of the capital. He has managed [it] for more than 5 years.

He is on his 6th loan cycle with IMF YIKRI and he pays his loans back well. He paid back his first KIVA loan without difficulties. He is asking for a new loan to buy some airtime credits, 10 boxes of lotus and 5 packages of chewing gum in order to meet the demands of his clients. He hopes to use the profits to reinvest in his business and to save to take care of his family. Finally, he thanks YIKRI and it s partners for the support given to non-bankable entrepreneurs. He asks everyone to protect themselves from the Covid-19 virus.
