My life-long passion for my culture and a desire to educate others was all it took to preserver and follow my dreams. As the owner of the Viva Performing Arts Center, I translated my affinity for dance into a career of enriching the lives of children and their parents while building a legacy on the southside of Tucson for the past 33 years. As a child, my parents introduced me to the colorful and exciting world of Mexican folklorico dance. I began my own dancing education at the age of 12 with the Ballet Folkllroico Los Corazones de Oro and continued at Tucson High in Los Tucsonenses Folkloricco dance group and at Pima Community College with Maestro Angel Hernandez.
