05_Koutanding Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase baobab fruit, red hibiscus drink [bissap], and sugar to prepare fruit juices to sell.

05_Koutanding Group's story

This group of 38 women was established in December 2011. These women live in the same neighborhood and are joined by ties of solidarity, kinship and friendship. Their main business is trade and small-scale farming.

Talata, 45 years old, is the group's representative. She is married and the mother of 5 children of whom one is a girl. She runs a business selling fruit juice and ice.

Talata plans to use this loan to strengthen her capital and expand her business. She plans to purchase enough baobab fruit, red hibiscus juice and sugar, to prepare fruit juices which she will sell in her neighborhood and her local market.

The profits she will make will allow her to contribute to the daily expenses of the family and help cover the health and educational expenses of her children.
