Barranquilla, Atlantico, Colombia / Retail

Nubis's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped shirts and jeans for both women and men.

Nubis's story

Nubis is a 45-year-old entrepreneurial woman from the city of Barranquilla. She has a merchandise-selling business in the market. She has had this business for about 15 years. She started it with her husband and he also does the same type of work.

In these times of pandemic, they have had to reinvent the business by supporting themselves on social media. Their physical business is closed but they are still selling out of their house with contributions from their contacts on social media. Their sales went down by 70% since the negative effects of Covid-19 began. Currently the recuperation of her work has been generated by home sales and she has recuperated 70%. Her goal is to increase her merchandise sales virtually to counteract the effects of the pandemic and increase her income.

She is currently negotiating her first Kiva loan with the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, with the goal of investing in the purchase of shirts and jeans for both women and men, perfumes, creams, sprays, and makeup.

Please consider helping her with her business loan.
