Jackline's story

Meet Jackline, who was born in the Mbarara district, and has been in the same area for over 20 years. She is a mother of two, and a business woman dealing mainly in selling clothes on a small scale. Jackline is an established clothes trader in the area.

Her business was moving on well until the pandemic hit. She stopped working, making her use all of her profits for reinvesting in family support. This financially constrained her, leaving her with nothing to restart the business.

Jackline approached Ugafode for a credit facility to boost capital so that she can resume work and be able to put food on the table for her family. Jackline looks forward to business continuity using Kiva funds.

Her future plans are to expand her business and start a wholesale shop in the area since that business earns more than the current business. She also desires to construct a residential house for her children since she has a plot of land which is undeveloped. Jackline appreciates your kind support.
