Managua, MN, Nicaragua / Retail

Yahaira Aracelly's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy rice, oil, beans, sugar, and cheese.

Yahaira Aracelly's story

Yahaira is a shopkeeper; she is married and is a mother of two teenagers, who are her main source of strength. She sells sweets, garlic, soft drinks, rice, beans, oil, dog food, and perishable household products. This woman decided to join the retail business because she needed to earn an income and because her husband was involved in an accident.

Doña Yahaira has already had previous experience with the financing from MiCrédito and Kiva, through which she purchased oil, rice, beans, and sugar. At this time, she is happy about having expanded her inventory, so much so that she has again approached MiCrédito and Kiva hoping to secure a loan in order to purchase rice, oil, beans, sugar, and cheese. In the near future, Yahaira is planning to continue relying on the support of these two organizations in order to transform her small grocery store into a general store.
