Edison Jose's story

Edison Jose is 41 years old and is in a free union relationship. He has three children (ages 3, 8, and 10). His wife is a housewife. They live in the Paján canton, a very productive sector in the province of Manabí, where the people are very friendly and hardworking. They make a living cultivating crops such as coffee, chocolate, rice, and corn. This sector has been very affected by the pandemic.

Edison Jose is a hardworking man who has always likes to progress, no matter how difficult the situation gets. He still maintains his business that he started ten years ago. He has a farm on which he keeps about 40 heads of cattle that produce milk and cheese. Before the pandemic, he delivered his products to several towns. Due to the health emergency and restrictions, he has not been able to market his products and is only selling them to his clients in his town.

With the money from the loan that Fundación ESPOIR will grant him, he will invest in grassland and products to fumigate the grassland. Edison Jose's dream is to install an irrigation system to have greater milk production.
