Diana Maribel's story

Diana Maribel is 38 years old and separated. She has two children, who are 16 and 9 years old. They live in Cantón Paján, a very productive area in the province of Manabí. Its residents are very friendly and hardworking. They work growing coffee, cacao, rice, corn, etc. This area was hit very hard by the pandemic.

Diana is a very responsible and hardworking woman. Before the pandemic she worked in a restaurant. Due to the health emergency and the local governmental restrictions, the restaurant had to close, leaving her with no income. Worried about her family's finances, Diana started her own business raising and selling chickens. She sells them live or by the pound, depending on what her customers seek. She is following all the hygiene protocols.

With this loan the Foundation is granting her Diana will invest in the purchase of chickens, commercial feed and corn to feed them, in order to continue providing what her customers seek. Her goal in buying chickens, commercial feed and corn to feed them is to have a bigger farm.
