Kimberlyn Katherine's story

Kimberlyn Katherine is 25 years old and in a common law marriage. She has two children, one who is two years old and one who is four months old. They live in Cantón Paján, a very productive area in the province of Manabí. Its residents are very friendly and hardworking. They work growing coffee, cacao, rice, corn, etc. This area was hit very hard by the pandemic.

Kimberlyn is a very hardworking woman. Before the pandemic she worked in a family restaurant, a job she did from very early in the morning. Due to Covid-19 the restaurant closed as a precaution to avoid contagion with the virus. In light of this situation, Kimberlyn and her husband decided to sell snacks in order to generate income. They started another way to continue work by selling food. They began distributing based on orders and home deliveries.

With the loan from the foundation Kimberlyn will invest in the purchase of containers, spoons, and an oven, to set up their own locale. Her dream is to have her own, big restaurant in order to generate more income.
