Mbarara, Western Region, Uganda / Retail

Betty's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more bags of charcoal to increase sales and generate income.

Betty's story

Betty is a businesswoman. She is married with three children and lives within Mbarara town, where she sells charcoal to earn income to provide for her children. Betty started the charcoal business because it had a lot of demand, especially from restaurants and households, because of its affordability and availability.

She is seeking a loan to help her fund the business so that she can continue serving her clients and sustaining her household needs. She is very grateful to Kiva for support and partnership.
