Nurkan is 57 years old. She is a widow, who lives with her son and daughter-in-law in the Kochkor district. This district is best suited for running an agricultural business. Nurkan works as a teacher at a local school. Besides this, she has been involved in animal husbandry and farming for 25 years. Currently, the family was able to increase their livestock quantities to seven cows, 30 sheep and two horses. They also have 2.7 hectares of land, where she plants barley and alfalfa. To continue growing her business, she requested a loan in the amount of 250,000 som (KGS) from the Bai Tushum Bank to buy heifers in order to increase her livestock headcount and sales of organic milk. The profit from the loan will help her expand her business.
