Lucy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as fertilizer in order to improve her corn crop.

Lucy's story

Lucy, 25 and the mother of two school-going children, is a Juhudi Kilimo borrower. She is a woman of honesty who has a charming character and is married to a fellow farmer. Her family's main income source is milk from their dairy farm. The biggest problem that farmers from her village face is the huge deficit in terms of access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers’ yields and incomes are far below what they could be.

Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholder farmers around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers in her village can now buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Lucy is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as fertilizer to improve her corn crop. Your loan will enable her to improve her crop production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help her to meet the increasing demand for crops in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve her family's quality of life.

Lucy, her husband, and their children heavily rely on the goodwill of lenders so that they can achieve their dreams. Take action, and lend now!
