A loan helped to buy supplies for making sweets.

Salwa's story

Salwa is a 38-year-old Syrian woman. She is married and has five children. Her husband works as a sweet (Harissa) seller; they left Syria in 2013 because of the Syrian crisis. Due to low income and a hard financial situation, she decided to start helping her husband with making sweets at home and selling them. Her biggest challenge is to be able to provide the finances for buying the supplies and products for her business. So she decided to ask for a 700 JD loan. Her dream is to be able to help her family have better living standards. And to open a small sweets shop for herself and for her husband.
